I was suggested to reinstall Windows 10, and i did it but the ram problem is still there.
What do I do? I have Windows 10 Pro. My ram is 2x4 GB. I have followed all posted instructions and nothing works to reduce the RAM reserved for hardware. Method 1: I would suggest you to run Memory Diagnostic Tool and check if it helps. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk. Hope this would help.

Edited by technonymous, 20 September - PM. Posted 20 September - PM I have already tried the above solution. Posted 21 September - AM 1. Go to search type sysdm. Go to advanced tab Performance Settings button Advanced tab Change button. Once done check your memory performance info again to see if it sticks this time.
Edited by technonymous, 21 September - AM. Posted 21 September - AM Tried above solution. No success unfortunately. Same outcome 16 gb being used by hardware reserve. Max memory is still unchecked. Thanks for your help so far by the way.
