I've got a loop somewhere in my rig that causes some of my hardware to multiply the clock. I know I could fix it with A: more troubleshooting or 2: MidiPipe, but I haven't wanted to take the time away from working on music. I don't think we disagree, really. I also use the Environment for filtering MIDI events and what not, it just that it is such a chaotic mess. It needs a complete overhaul. I've used Logic since v2. There was a guy named Len Sasso who was an Environment genius and I learned from him how powerful the Environment was.

I often see folks complaining about how you can't re-order channels in the Mixer. I use the Environment as a Mixer in every project because I can re-order channels exactly the way I like. That's just a really simple benefit - obviously as others have said above, the Environment is immensely powerful and I doubt that Logic's designers will ever remove it.
